welcome to journal entry from january 24. as you might have noticed, this was written before midnight, on the 23rd. however, it is going to serve as my journal entry for the 24th anyway.

today I went to oldnavy, again, and got some stuff for valentine's day for my sister, and also some cute V-Day items for myself. On the right you can see an outfit I bought at oldnavy. So on valentine's day, I will be clad in my all pink outfit and with a new pink purse. The background today is from the oldnavy site, and it celebrates how I am feeling today.

I am happy today because my ex-boyfriend sold the condo we owned together, and have been renting out for a couple of years, so I made a tidy sum, which I am quickly putting in the bank.

I watched the X-files tonight (go here to help Dana Scully get a desk) and was very happy with the show. It tackled religion in an interesting way, without being cheesy about it like it sometimes is. I like when the show goes off on tangents, and stays away from the alien stuff. I noticed, however, that Dana Scully has begun to wear a lot of skirts, when she really never did in the past. Perhaps she is trying to be more feminine in her character now.

Today my friend told me that I am a consumer, not a producer, because I like oldnavy, mass media, etc. so much. However, I think that I am just someone who appreciates pop culture. I know that really it is all just like candy--tastes good, but not really that filling. However, I need something to balance out my serious in-school side and thus I turn to silly things like pink valentine clothes.

anyway, that is all for today, now that I am getting sleepier and sleepier. I have to wake up early in the morning, and my sleep schedule is already so weird that anymore time on the computer will really mess me up. so more tom. see ya,
